The Any atom is a special atom class used in queries that can match any atom in the structure. It is specified by the word "Any" in an SLN. All elemental atom attributes can be assigned to an Any atom.
Caution: Any atoms in structures behave differently from Any atoms in queries. While a query Any atom will match any elemental atom, an Any atom in a structure can be matched only by a query Any atom. For example, the query CCAny will match CCN, CCO, CCC, etc. However, the query CCC will not match the fragment, CCAny.
Note that Hev is a special case of an Any atom and matches any non-hydrogen atom.
